Weeee....

Well, it's not a real tattoo. I was making an ink Babu drawing on my skin when I felt bored. Hehehehe! Anyway, I'll work on my new commission (2 pieces) and my small wooden paintings (4 or 5 pieces) for the next art show in "Small Stuff" at South Florida gallery, Bear and Bird. I'm very interested and excited with this US art show because this is my first time. Yiipppeee!!!

Good news, my French wonderful friend Anne-Julie
launched her new website! My great friend Gisele worked with Anne-Julie for her website. Go visit! It's beautifully gorgeous, I love it!

Okay, that's all folks. Goodnight and God bless you all!

Please click this photo collage to full view. The medium is ink, acrylics and coloured pencils on wood. The size is 7.8" x 27.8". It is for sale! It's US$500 plus shipping fees. It is good for your wall, bedroom, dining room, entertainment room, cafe or anywhere! If you are interested with this, please email me. It's adventurous, playful and whimsical, just like the art of my favorite artist Winsor McCay!

Hope you like it! Hurry up, buy it now! If you want to commission me to make wooden paintings, send me an email. For those who emailed me, please wait patiently for my response. I'm being flooded with emails! Ciao!

Search

Please click to full view this photo collage below. Hmmm, it reminds me of my childhood memories where I loved to seek and find beautiful shells in the dark corals for my collection. Yes, I was a very dark tanned young girl before, just like a pure black charcoal... hehehe, just kidding.

Like I asked God, "Papa, when will you put your mysterious beautiful shells ( blessings ) in the corals for me? Don't worry, Papa... I can find them persistently in unexpected way when I seek you FIRST faithfully. It's up to You what blessings You want for me. It's your Will. I'm looking for hope."

Thank you for the big encouragement, love, hug and support. It's time to disable comments here forever, hope you guys understand me. But I greatly thank to all of you who visits my blog here. Don't worry about me, I'll ask God to polish my mind completely (hehe, I could imagine that God could use Kiwi shoe polish to cleanse me... sweet....) About my future job in Florida.... ah well....Yeeaaah!!! Alright, I'll go for it. Go go go. I hope I can do it through Him who strengthens me. Uha-uha ha ha uha ha.... (*Rambo and Congo dance together.*)

Oh man, I am very sick and weak today. Oh man, I am flooded with emails again. God bless you all. Ciao, guys.

Cat Guardian II

Yey, my past works "Cat Guardian" and "Confusion" got featured for the Reader Art on Juxtapoz. Thank you very much, Ert O'Hara. Anyway, I did my pencil work on wood (7.6" x 14.2"), Cat Guardian II in May 2007. I changed her old looks into new one. I copied my real eye shape into this girl character's eyes so I loved it. Please click this big close-up photo collage to full view.

Sorry, I haven't made my story about this yet. But it's so fun to make different styles of Cat Guardian. I was very inspired by heroines. Just like my favorite animator / director Hayao Miyazaki, who made his female characters as leads (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind). Dang, I wish I seriously could work with Hayao! If I ever meet him in person, I could pee in my pants. BWAHAHAHAHA! This is my wish! Nyahahahaha! Okay, I better stop laughing now.

Hurry up, my fellow cat lovers, this is for sale! (plus FedEx shipping fees, it depends on weight and location). Email me if you're interested. Hope you like it! Ready? On your mark, get set..... BUY! Next time, I might make another work for Cat Guardian III.

Now I'm working on my unfinished wooden painting (work in progress), Babu's Ride. I portrayed my trusted siberian tiger plushie, Shardul. See you in August. Puuurrrmeeoowwwwrrrrrr! Roar!

Maturity + Featured Artist: Laurent Orseau

In April 2007, I was so inspired by the incredible photo Big Tree of my good French friend from Germany, Laurent Orseau after I commented on it. Then Laurent emailed me, "I also think about your b&w diary drawings... so... hum... would you like to draw this tree with your character (so you) in the image?" I was very thrilled and said, "Oh sure! Of course!". I printed his picture and imagined something before starting. Then I was just copying his image while drawing it on my sketchpad directly. No grid drawing. No tracing. You know what, I kept practicing how to copy and draw those cartoon characters during my childhood years. I think this is one of my favorite personal drawings. It was a little bit difficult to add more details and tones. But it was all good. I forgot to tell you about the size of my drawing. It's 6.3 " X 6.3" (thanks for asking me this, my super lovely sweet friend Raquel).

Every second, every minute, every hour, every day, I love to see those beautiful old trees. I am in awe with them. Sometimes I envy them because they grow bigger, stronger and firmer. They are completely mature. For me personally, I am either mature or immature. All I can say is to become complete and to get out of my stupid foolish things (e.g. drinking alcoholics, hurting myself, etc.) through my long depression. Sigh. Oh, did you see my sexy three scars on my tummy? That's what I got operated last year. (*Mall smiles quietly*). Hmmm, I wanted to live this huge magical tree forever. It reminds me of My Neighbor Totoro.

Hurray, my mission accomplished. Whew. I greatly thank Laurent for everything. I salute to you! I would like to feature him and his marvelous impressive photos here. Please visit his Hinah
, Flickr, deviantART and VIRB. I really love all of his photos especially many classic portraits of his super beautiful wonderful wife éloïse. He is one of my favorite incredible photographers. See his self-portrait below (he held his own Xpan camera). Enjoy!

Oh, I forgot to tell you something. Last year, Laurent asked me to do a commissioned painting for his nephew Thierry. He sent me his two wonderful photos of Thierry and my original wooden painting through email. I loved them very much! Thierry really loves snails and piano. Believe it or not, he explains to the kids of his class how snails have sex. Oh my gosh, he is a young handsome intellectual!

Oh my... I'm very talkative here, just like noisy Donald Duck again. (*quack! quack! quack!*) Hope you guys enjoy reading this long post. Sorry that I wasn't active here for awhile. Wow, I am being flooded with good emails and comments. I'll reply to all of you and visit your galleries/blogs when I have time. So wait for my response patiently. Know that I'm very slow at responding, guys. My mama is fine now, thanks for asking. Thanks for the last wonderful comments/hugs/kisses and linking my blog and my short video on your sites. I'm so grateful.

Ciao, here's my very big hug and kiss for you guys.
