Innocent Girls

Past few months ago, some people emailed me that they wanted me to do my girl drawings again. They felt sad when they saw all my sold girl drawings from the Paper Pushers group show @Gallery1988 SF in December 2009. Finally, I'm posting my latest original graphite works here. Please see my work-progress graphite pieces on my previous blog entry. I am super happy that my drawing skills look improved nowadays, hooray! The size is 7" x 7" inches. Enjoy viewing!

Talky Tina

I was quite pleased that Gallery1988 Los Angeles invited me to participate the Twilight Zone tribute show. I tried to make my few subtle color schemes instead my vibrant colors. I also mixed my old realism (I was a former realism painter past few years ago) + illustration styles for my two creepy pieces. I chose my favorite show, Living Doll (Talky Tina), which is perfect for my style. If you don't know Talky Tina, watch this YouTube video.

Then I made rough sketches during brainstorming about Talky Tina.

I know my paintings are not cute & colorful but creepy because of the dark theme. But hey, I was happy that my mission accomplished!

Hope you like my dark pieces. Check many great artists' Twilight Zone pieces out! I really can't wait to create my next piece about Edward Scissorhands for the Crazy4Cult group show. Can you tell me which medium you like for my Edward Scissorhands: Graphite or Subtle Colored Piece? Lemme know, I'd like to hear from you guys.

I have finished my two commissioned paintings for my client Nini. But she wanted me to do 3rd commissioned painting which I haven't started creating. I'll post them plus graphite pieces next month. Ciao!

I got my new camera Lumix GF1

I sold my Nikon D90 for replacing my new compact dslr, Panasonic Lumix GF1. Honestly, I really love D90 but I didn't feel satisfied with the bulky weight. I must admit... when I received my new GF1, I ignored to read the manual book because I was crazily happy to play it asap, hahaha! I'm an official Lumix addict now so I'm happy to have my own LX3 and GF1 cameras. For me, GF1 is better, better, better than LX3... I won't leave my LX3 because he's a macro master, hehe. Here are my GF1 few shots (manual/aperture priority settings, no Photoshop effects).

Now, I would love to share my GF1 first video test with you guys. Goodnight and sweetdreams. UPDATED: Visit my new photography blog http://mall-gf1.blogspot.com/ I keep updating my new photos there.

For my dearest Mama

This is my special graphite drawing for my dearest mama. Advanced happy mothers day! I drew this last February 2010. My mama saw me drawing and stole it... Hehehe, she's sweetly silly and beloved. I love you mama, thank you for everything!

Anyway, I keep active on my photography blog so I update my Panasonic LX3 photos / video there. Here's my blog site: http://mall-lx3.blogspot.com/
